Ysgubor Newydd

Ysgubor Newydd holiday cottage is a beautiful stone barn conversion with everything you need for a great holiday. The location is really special and the views need to be seen to be believed.

Set on one floor, all the rooms come off a central corridor that runs along the length of the cottage with the kitchen at one end and the sitting room at the other. The large kitchen is the hub of the cottage; everything you would need is here along with new appliances. The all-oak units give it a homely feel and the solid dining table and chairs are the perfect addition for getting everyone together for meals.

The conservatory that leads off from the kitchen has the showstopper views and most certainly where you will find yourself with a gin and tonic in hand for an evening of taking in the sunsets.

There are two bedrooms; one double and a twin. Both rooms have been stylishly decorated and the blankets and cushions add to the cosy feel. The views from both rooms are incredible; waking up to the view of the sea is pretty idyllic. There is one bathroom which has a shower over bath set up.

The outside space as you will imagine does not disappoint, lots of open space along with an enclosed, raised patio area where you can sit out and eat alfresco, or just sit and take in the calm and tranquillity.

Reviews

"We stayed [at Ty Cerrig] for a week in the May bank holiday weekend with 2 kids under 10 and baby. Having stayed in a few cottages before, this one was probably the best so far. The cottage was very clean and tidy. To top it off the owner left a nice homemade cake and flowers for us.

There are many places to visit. Good beaches include Barmouth, Shell Island, Harlech and Morfa Bychan. Harlech Castle was good and also the steam train at Fairbourne. Ffestiniog Steam railway is supposed to be good but we never had time for that.

Sunset views and on a clear day you can see the blue sea and mountains/hills."
